Blasphemy

What is Blasphemy? If you look it up in Webster’s is states,

“1. Impious or irreverent utterance or action concerning God or sacred things. 2. The crime of assuming to oneself the right or equalities to God.” Blasphemous states “uttering, containing, or exhibiting blasphemy; irreverent; profane, defaming, speaking evil, harm. Evil speaking” Blaspheme states “1. To speak impiously (un Godly) or irreverently of God or sacred things. 2. To speak evil of; slander. 3. To speak irrelevantly of God or sacred things; utter impieties.”

How many people today especially preachers, pastors, deacons, bishops, lay people, youth leaders, praise leaders, and many other in power do this daily? If we could get a statistical chart from God, I think we would be shocked. I’ve heard many non-Christians do this but they do not know Jesus or have an idea of the consequence. I’ve also heard many Christians do it and they should know the truth and judgment. Make no mistake about it, there will be a judgment!

Psalm 74:18 states, “Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O Lord that the foolish people have blaspheme thy name.” If you are blaspheming the Lord, God or worse, the Holy Spirit, you stand in chance to not be written in the Lamb’s Book. “Mark 4: 28. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. 29. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.''

If you preach anything that goes against the Bible (God’s Holy Word), you are speaking impiously. In Layman’s terms, you just blasphemed! Many people try and bend or make God’s word into gray areas even when every subject mentioned in it, is very black and white. These subjects include but not limited to pre-marital sex, abortion, homosexuality, gossip, (he is against these) to tithes and many others. Remember what Webster’s said,

“1. To speak impiously (un Godly) or irreverently of God or sacred things. 2. To speak evil of; slander.”

If you aren’t teaching God’s word, by his leading, but by men or denominational leading instead, you are blaspheming.

“Psalms 74: 18.  Remember this, that the enemy has reproached, O Lord, And that a foolish people has blasphemed your name.”

Many of you are very blessed that the old rules are not enforced on the blasphemers as they were in Moses’ time. If they were in effect to day, one thing is for sure; you wouldn’t have all these churches blasphemous teachings saying homosexuality, abortion, premarital sex, and many others topics are ok with God.

“Leviticus 24: 11.  And the Israelite woman's son blasphemed the name of the Lord and cursed; and so they brought him to Moses. (His mother's name was Shelomith the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.) 12.  Then they put him in custody, that the mind of the Lord might be shown to them. 13.  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 14.  "Take outside the camp him who has cursed; then let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him. 15.  "Then you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: `Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin. 16.  `And whoever blasphemes the name of the Lord shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him, the stranger as well as him who is born in the land. When he blasphemes the name of the Lord, he shall be put to death.”

God’s word has no place for political redrick or man’s agendas. Don't get me wrong, all Christians who are called should seek political office, if there were more true Christians in office our country wouldn't be in the trouble it is in. If you are in a church that teaches items contrary to God's word, or back politicians that support items contrary to God's word, leave that church and find one that is true to God. It is up to you to stand for the truth. If you don’t stand for God and his truth, you stand for the Satan and his lies. Which do you choose?
